The king told his gardener to look after the Pacceka Buddha. After visiting his village, the Pacceka Buddha returned to the garden. Without knowing that , the gardener accidentally shot the Pacceka Buddha mistaken with a deer. The gardener was afraid that the king would be mad so he took his family and disappeared. Each year he asked the minister to check if the king forgave him. On the 3rd year, the king wanted to see the gardener. The gardener explained that it was a mistake and the king forgave him. The king said that it took him 3 years because he aware of his own appeased . One day, the pacceka buddha left for a while and came back and meditated in the forest, but, at the same time, the servant that was supposed to look after him mistook the pacceka buddha for a deer and shot him with an arrow, The pacceka buddha died so the servant ran from Baranansi and soon the king heard about this. Every year he would ask the a minister to ask the king about him, but the first two years the king said nothing, while on the third he spoke and sent for him. The servant explained what happened and gained his honour back. The minister, now puzzled, asked why only send him on the third year.
