III.3. A Discontented Monk Ukkaṇṭhitabhikkhussa vatthu
Aung Maung's summary:
In Savatthi, a treasurer's son approached an Elder and asked the Elder to help him obtain Release from Suffering. After the son had done this, he asked the Elder if there was anything more he can do. The Elder told him to become a monk. After the son became a monk, he had teachers and preceptors who always told him things from the Abhidhamma and Vinayas. After a while, the monk thought to himself why he became a monk, he wanted to obtain Release from Suffering, and so he became discontented so some monks brought him to the teacher. The teacher then told the monk to guard his thoughts.
