During the Teacher's residence with Sāvatthi and 500 other monks. They discussed the different types of soil they saw on their travels. The Teacher told them at the soil they see is only the outer soil, and it would benefit them more to cleanse the inner soil of the heart. IV. 1. The Soil of the Heart
