324 Cammasātaka Jātaka (JTA 127) The Leather Ascetic Ashin Sarana:
Andre Thu’s drawing Once, some bikkhus were talking about how an ascetic had died and buddha told this was not the first time. In the past, there was an ascetic who was walking around a goat pen and one of the goat kneeled down and started digging into the ground and the ascetic thought that he was playing his respects. He too put his hands together to pay back these respects but the owner warned him that the goat was instead preparing for attack. Though, before he could finish, the goat broke the ascetics legs and the ascetic said that all whom respect unworthy lifeforms will surely pay. Having concluded this stray, the buddha identified the ascetic as the same one that died and the buddha as the owner.Kids’ drawing
