When the Buddha heard this he said this is not the first time this man was bragging and he told the story of the past. Long ago the son of the servant of the king’s treasurer named Katahaka wanted a better life so he went to the treasurer’s friend. He pretended to be the treasurer’s son and got married to the daughter of the treasurer’s friend . He lived a good life but he was always boastful about the food and clothes he got. The wife learned the phrase from the treasurer. That phrase made him concerned that the wife might know that he is an imposter. Since then he never complained.
