Valentina’s drawing One time Buddha and his bhikkhus were receiving so much honor, but the teachers of other sects were not getting anything, so they sent a woman named Cinca-Manavika to accuse Buddha of not providing her things for her “childbirth.” The bhikkhus were talking about this and Buddha said that this was not the only time this woman accused him and suffered and told a story of the past. There was a prince name Paduma and his father went out to the battlefield, so while he was gone, Paduma’s stepmother tried seducing him, and she realized she would be a dead woman if Prince Paduma told the king what she had done, so when the king came back, the stepmother blamed Paduma and the king believed it. The king declared that Prince Paduma be executed, but when he was pushed off a hill, a deva living there saved him and he went to the abode of the nagas. He had a great stay there but decided to go back to the realm of men to become an ascetic. When he became one, he met his father and Paduma told him that he swallowed a hook, which was sensual pleasures and power, but he extracted it from him so now he is happy. The king then realized what his wife had done and executed her.Kids’ drawing
