Zwezarni Htun’s drawing A golden deer, once the leader of 160 deer, was ensnared in a hunter’s trap set on their usual trail. Despite the deer’s struggles, it only resulted in more pain. When a beautiful doe, willing to sacrifice herself, returned to help, the hunter arrived. Surprisingly, the doe spoke, pleading for her own life and sparing the golden deer. The hunter, moved by the doe’s words, spared them both and released the other deer. In gratitude, the golden deer gave a jewel to the hunter before vanishing into the forest with the doe and their herd.Valentina’s drawing In Savatthi, a woman set her husband free from the bonds of passion, but long ago, she also freed a being from the bonds of death. Long ago, the Bodhisatta was born as a gold deer and his mate was a beautiful doe. One day, a hunter set a snare on the path the deers always used and cut the flesh of the golden deer, and the deer uttered a cry of alarm. The doe rushed to him and said that she will try to plead with the hunter, and so she did. She begged the hunter to take her life and release her mate, so the hunter became amazed and sympathetic for the doe and deer, so he gave both of them the chance of living. Because of this, the deer gave the hunter a magic jewel which can support the hunter’s family without killing.Kids’ drawing
