Yamona’s drawing The bhikkhus were talking about before the Buddha time ascetics of different sect were greatly honored. When the Buddha came these ascetics were ignored. Long ago there was two merchants who were very fond of birds. When they traveled to Baveru they brought a crow and the people of Baveru bargained for that crow. They put it in a golden cage and fed it with all good food. The next time when the merchants brought a royal peacock to Baveru, the people bought it with thousand gold coins. The royal bird was receiving highest glory and honor. Everyone ignored the crow. In this story the Buddha was the peacock .Kids’ drawing
