Elder Kassapa went for alms in Rajagaha but when 500 nymphs prepared alms for him, Elder Kassapa refused because he wanted alms from the poor. So the 500 nymphs went to the Sakka and explained what happened. After hearing the explanation, the Sakka and a nymph transformed into poor, old people to give Elder Kassapa alms. Elder Kassapa the Great arose from a Trance of Cessation that lasted 7 days & started with the intention of going to the alms in Rajagaha. At the same time, 500 pink-footed nymphs, who were wives of Sakka king of gods prepared 500 portions of alms for the Elder. The Elder ended up getting mad at the nymphs and got mad at them and snapped his fingers at them. The nymphs went to go tell their husband about this issue. After hearing this, Sakka desired to give the alms to the Elder himself. So, he disguised himself as a poor elderly man and go see how the Elder would react to him. In the end, the Elder was able to prove his worthy to the Sakka and Sakka gave him the alms.
