Yamona’s drawing Long ago a golden peacock was born and lived on Dandaka hill. Everyday he recited charms before feeding and before sleeping which kept him safe.The queen dreamed of the golden peacock and wished to hear his Dhamma. The king tried to catch the peacock but failed. The queen died and the king blamed the peacock. He wrote whoever eat the flesh of this bird will live forever and put it in his casket. The next six kings failed to catch the bird. The seventh king succeeded and captured the peacock using the peahen. The peacock told the king that how it is possible to eat my meat and become immortal if I am dead . The king didn’t kill the peacock and he decided to keep five precepts.
