Nandattheravatthu
Kaitlyn Liu's summary:
After the Teacher set the Wheel of the Law in motion, he decided to retire to Rājagaha and stay at Veḷuvana. His father, King Suddhodana sent him 10 ambassadors each with a thousand advisors of his own. Nine ambassadors tried but instead attained Arahatship and failed to return back to their king. The following day, there were ceremonies of Prince Nanda's sprinkling, house-warming, and marriage. While they were ongoing, the Teacher entered, placed a bowl in Prince Nanda's hands, wished him the best of luck, and left. The Prince thought that the Teacher would soon take the bowl back from him but the Teacher never did. So, Prince Nanda kept following him until the Teacher would take it back. The Teacher soon led the Prince to a monastery and asked him whether he would like to become a monk or not. The Prince said yes and now he was to be made a monk.
