II.5. Kassapa The Great

One day Maha Kassapa was residing in Pipphali Cave. After going for alms, he meditated and developed Insight, in which he surveyed all beings with his supernatural vision. The Buddha also survived the world with his Supernatural Vision and saw Maha Kassapa contemplating the rising and falling of living beings. The Buddha then radiated his image telling him that he would not be able to see the knowledge of the arising and passing of living beings.
