Andre Thu’s drawing Once there was a bikkhu who was discontent because of a cruel, ungrateful lady and the buddha told a story of a man who would visit the king’s palace every day. There was also a lady who charged 1000 coins for her favours and the man paid her everyday but one day he did not bring the money and promised to give double tomorrow. The lady did not trust him and no matter how much he begged and pleaded she would not allow it. He became very discontent and decided to head to the woods and become an ascetic without informing the king. When the king heard of this, he threatened the woman who had made the man discontent and threatened her to bring him back. The man lived next to a river and told that he had already forgiven the lady, but would only come back with impossible conditions like make the Gangan river still, and make a tower out of mosquito teeth.Kids’ drawing
