Sandi M's summary:
After listening to the law from an elder, a wealthy householder named Citta obtained the Fruit of Conversion and had a monastery built in his garden to show his appreciation, shortly after, he obtained the Fruit of the Second Path from the two Chief Disciples as well. Elder Sudhamma, the resident monk, was angry that he was invited last and refused to visit despite Citta’s persistence. When the Elder passed his thoughts to the Teacher, the Teacher scolded him and sent Sudhamma to go back and ask for pardon. Citta eventually did so after witnessing Sudhamma’s sincerity and the Elder attained Arahatship with the Supernatural Faculties. At this point, Citta decides it to be time to go see the Teacher in person and took 500 carts full of offerings and invited the Congregation of Monks and the Congregation of Nuns to go with him. When Citta arrived, he paid obeisance to the Teacher and a rain of celestial flowers fell as thousands of cries of applause went up.
