352 Sujāta Jātaka (JTA 137) Antidote for Griei Ashin Sarana:
May’s drawing When Sujata was still young his grandfather died and his father was overcome with grief and took the grandfathers bones and made a cetiya. He was so distraught that he ignored his business, stopped showering, and forgot to eat sometimes. Sujata then thought that he had to help his father. He brought a bowl of water and some grass and put it beside a dead ox. He started chanting “Eat and drink!”. His father then came and asked why Sujata was doing that. Sujata then said the ox might come back to life because it still has all body parts but his grandfather’s body parts weren’t. The father then said the son was right and promised he would stop grieving.Kids’ drawing
