VI. 1. A Poor Man wins Spiritual Treasure
Rādhattheravatthu Aung Maung's summary:
Before Venerable Radha became a monk, he was a poor Brahman who performed duties for monks. The Brahman wanted to be admitted into the Order but the other monks didn't want him to, but Elder Sariputta remembered the Brahman's kindness and made a monk out of him. A few days later the Brahman attained arahatship after listening to his preceptor's instructions and was now known as Elder Radha. The Buddha explained that this is not the first time Elder Sariputta has shown his gratefulness.
