Thiri Garris’s drawing One time, bhikkhus discussed King Pasenadi losing an easy battle. They said a better plan and king spies told the king. He won the battle. Once, a carpenter tamed a boar. When he was released, he taught his herd how to fight and they killed a tiger and a false ascetic.Valentina’s drawing It was while staying at Jetavana that the Buddha told a story about Venerable Dhanuggaha-Tissa showing himself expert in strategy and said this was not the only time. Long ago, there was a boar who was named Tacchasukara, and was cherished by a carpenter. But the carpenter decided to let the boar go because he thought it might harm him, so he took him to a place where he thought he would be safe and find food. However, the boar didn’t feel safe, so he found other boars to live with. He found a large herd of boars and they said that there has been an enemy around. Tacchasukara took leadership and used his strategies to outsmart the enemy, which was a tiger. Tacchasukara then killed the tiger and the boars said they had another enemy. The enemy was a phony ascetic, the person who was guiding the tiger. The boars also killed the ascetic. Tacchasukara became king of the herd. They placed the ascetic on the root of a fig tree sprinkled him with water in a coronation ceremony.Kids’ drawing
