Yamona’s drawing There was a young man who was extremely devoted to his mother. His mother made arranged marriage for him without his approval. The wife didn’t like the mother in law and tried to get rid of her . When he refused the wife realized her wrongdoing and became devoted to the mother. One day the man was visiting the Buddha and the Buddha said that now you refused your wife but in the past you gave in and the Buddha told the story of the past. Long ago there was a lady named Kaccāni who lived with her devoted son. When he grew up , his mom set up a marriage for him. The wife saw how devoted her husband was and did the same. However , when the time passed by , the wife made a plan to get rid of the mother in law. The wife treated Kaccāni poorly. When the mother complained, the wife made it sounded like the mom in law was very demanding. The man finally gave in and kicked her mom out of the house. Soon after they had a baby and the wife said that they wouldn’t be able to have a son if Kaccāni was still there. When Kaccāni heard this she thought Right is dead because despite the wife did wrong she got great fortune. When Sakka heard this he told her that he would make the family die in pain but she didn’t want him to hurt her son and his family. Sakka told her that despite what her family did to her, she still wanted to do the Right thing . Right exists. Sakka made the family apologize to the lady and they lived happily together. The son was the young man and Buddha was Sakka.Kids’ drawing
