Andre Thu’s drawing Once, there was an elephant who once served the king very well, but when he was old and was not needed anymore, the elephant was sent back to the jungle. The elephant found it very hard to find food, and he barely survived everyday, so when the buddha came, he told the buddha about this, and the buddha spoke to the king about this matter. The elephant’s honour was restored, and the buddha told that this was not the first time this had happened, and in the past there was another elephant who served a king very well, and too was discarded when he was old and unable to work. He barely survived off leaves and soon was later demoted to carry cow dung for a potter who was making pots for the king. He told the royal advisor about this and he spoke to the king and told that he should be grateful for all those who have served us and we will all succeed if we do so.Kids’ drawing
