Once the Buddha was born as the kings advisor and one of the kings wives were cheating on him with the minister but he didn’t want to lose them so he asked his advisor. And the advisor told him what to do so the king gave the minister and wife a stern warning and they stop and kept there loyalty to the king.Valentina’s drawing While staying at Jetavana, the Buddha told this story about King Pasenadi; When King Pasenadi learned that one of his courtiers were misbehaving in royal harem, he asked the Buddha for advice, and the Buddha told this story of the past. Long ago was Bramadhatta was reigning in Baranasi, the Bodhisatta was his chief adviser and he found out that one of his wives was having an affair with one of his ministers, but he hesitated to do anything because he didn’t want to lose neither of them so he asked his advisor what he should do because he is a very wise man. He told the advisor, a jackal dared to drink from a lake, even though a lion was guarding its shores, and the advisor replied that out of the mighty river, all creatures drink at will, and if she is dear, have patience because the river is still a river. The king was very pleased by his answer, so he talked to both his wife and minister, and they became faithful to the king once more. For the rest of his life, the king gave alms and performed good deeds and was reborn in heaven.
