186 Dadhivāhana Jātaka (JTA 1.78) A River of Curd Ashin Sarana:
Yamona’s drawing The Buddha said that “ Bad company can destroy precious plant “ and he told the story of the past. Once upon a time a young man had attacked Baranasi by using his magic tools such as a bowl and a magic gem. He poured his bowl and create a River of curd . He was carried to the throne by the River of curd and named himself king Dadhivahana . There were mango trees in the king’s garden which produced very sweet and juicy mangoes. The kings from the other country wanted to grow these mango plants however they couldn’t because the owner king pricked the seed so it would not re grow. The other king asked his gardener to destroy those mango trees by making them bitter. The gardener planted neem sprouts near those special mango trees. The root entangled themselves with the mango tree roots so the fruits became bitter. This has proved that the bad company can destroy the human beings as well as precious plants.Kids’ drawing
