Thinzar M’s drawing Once the Buddha encouraged a man to attain arahatship by making him a promise but when he attain arahatship he told the Buddha he no longer desired it, when the monks heard this they talk on how the Buddha could do this and the Buddha told them that he was like this before and told a story of the past. The Buddha was born as an elephant trainer and trained the kings royal elephant. The elephant went in to battle but hesitated because of all the actions so the trainer went to him and encouraged him so the elephant overcame his fear and won the battle. Once there were two boys on the same journey. One was born in a low family, and the other was born in a wealthy family and named Satadhamma. The boy who was born in the low family had brought food, but Satadhamma didn’t.The boy asked him if he wanted some food, but Satadhamma didn’t want a low fellows food so he starved until he finally asked if he could eat and the boy said yes so Satadhamma grabbed the last bits of food and ate it then he instantly regretted it. He threw up food and blood and then he died in the jungle.Zwezarmi Htun’s drawing A King rides an elephant to go to war, but the elephant becomes afraid to enter the kingdom due to fear of death. However, the trainer manages to calm the elephant with a few words, and the elephant overcomes its fear. With the courageous elephant leading the way, the King’s army triumphs in the war.Kids’ drawing
